Very intriguing indeed but unfortunately every movie based on game I ever saw was always a crappy effort. Hope this one gonna be exception. We'll see.

Is this actually going to happen? If so... then I hope to the administrators themselves that the original development team is involved in its making.

the director of SH:movie has said he used other game movies as a guide on how not to do it, also the SH game team are alleged to be holding to a tight quality control sive. I went to see Doom on saturday and it was fucking shit

I saw something about it in 'Empire' a few months ago. I think Wesley Snipes is rumoured to be in it. I think there is a fair chance it could be shite but then again, it could potentially be the best (read creepiest) horror movie of all time. Here's hoping. I still think the Koreans or Japanese should do it on a high budget. Edit: Empire were talking out of their arses, no Wesley Snipes, there's info easily found with a search, sean Bean is in it allegedly.

I must say, this trailer both worries me and gladdens me. As, it seems, that we Americans have ruined yet another brilliant concept and story by making it another "shock" film.... Silent Hill has never been about things "jumping" out to scare someone, it has always been through and through a psychological experience.... Yet, the production values do look suprisingly good from what I thought them to be, and all is not lost on the frightening effect, as it still did retain some traditional elements. All I can really say, is that I just hope this was a trailer, and not a good indication of the film.

It looks very promising I would say. All I really wish is a coherent scenario

They've not got a computer game adaption right yet but I sincerely hope this will be the first! Maybe The Axis can do the soundtrack to the sequel in collaboration with Mr Yamaoka (oh my, could you imagine the Hellish unjoy?!)

Truthfully, after seeing the new trailer, i'm going to stick by my original opinion.... it looks like a direct rip from the first SH (mixed with the second). Only with a girl as the front-person.. I guess I shall have to wait and see... let's just hope they don't screw it up!
As an added note... I would personally love to see a Akria Yamaoka/The Axis Of Perdition/Merzbow/SunnO)))/Malefic (of Xasthur fame) collaboration... I believe my brain would melt on the announcement of that.
