Alfarmania, Project Hat (getting myself ready to see them live). All IRM's albums will be next. I recommend to check them out. Very psychodelic and artistic power electronics. Not really harsh but dense and dark in some way.

I received Monarkh: rites profane promo....Some nice spooky stuff here....Together with reading the Lovecraft´s short stories I felt quite uneasy when I turned the lights off

The past month Niroth's (2006) album, "Dissociated Human Junction" split, Troum's "Kasha Pashana" and new Primordial happens to be my favorite. I don't know how you gys look upon your BM scene but I find Niroth quite promising band. Personally this is melodic black metal the way I imagine and like. It reminds me swedish Dawn a bit. Though their later endeavour seems to be different.

I've beeen very much unjoying R-A-A-N and their 'The Nacrasti' album. Alien Dark Ambient with lots of interesting and sinister twists. A very good involving listen. Track 5 is particularly good in my opinion.

Fen - Ancient Sorrow (2007). Hits directly into what is blackish metal mixed with post-rock. Sadly beautiful and agressive at times. This group is somewhat a gem.

No dark ambient group (present company exempt) comes close to what Moljebka Pvlse has been disturbing at the moment. His music is incredible. I've had sinister/threatening visions listening to 'Dvnkl' in the dark and his 'Sadalmelik' album is really Maeror Tri/Troum-esq in how it fuses guitar-effect drones and field-recordings. Both are amazing listening experiences for the patient-type.

"Sadalmelik" was first encounter with Moljebka Pvlse. I heard most of this project's works but this one is among favorites. "Driftsond" would be another. For the moment being I'm listening Havoc Unit (ex-...And Oceans) - H.I.V. Not bad industrialized metal fused with kind of *funny* lyrics.

I'm listening to the main track on Moljebka Pvlse's 'Dvnkl'. A definate recommendation for those caught in The Axis. It's bloody terrifying! I also now have their 'The Leaves of their Songs' album which is also very good. I'll have to track down 'Driftsond' I think. 'Sadalmelik' remains their best so far.

I got "Sadalmelik" in one of CMI's sales a few months back but I've still not sat down and digested it properly. Too busy for trance-outs at the mo. I've also got that 4CD black industrial compilation that Pulsefear contributed to queued up for a listen next time I'm in the headspace for it. I've been spinning Throbbing Gristle's "The Endless Not" loads lately, which is phenomenal.

I'd like to know what that compilation is like too.

Recently Atrium Carceri - Souyuan- (2008). Impressive and mellow atmosphere as always. Already ordered from CMI. Undying tracks I was able to get. Undying has called the day out and this is damn pity. He has got some really good and interesting black metal in stock

I'm having a heavy Axis period right now so Deleted Scenes and Physical Illucinations are going warm. Aside from that, some assorted ambient/noise like Lustmord, Maeror Tri and Merzbow. I've relapsed into a black metal period after laying off it for a good while in favor of electronica, ambient(Aphex Twin, Steve Roach etc) and lots of other stuff. Thus, favorites like Antaeus, Katharsis, Watain etc are being played quite a lot as well.

I feel moved enough to mention how much I've been enjoying Sunn 0)))'s Black One over the last few weeks. I was sure Sunn 0))) would have been brought up in here already, yet a quick search yields no reward. I'm sure you all know this album anyway. Nothing like the Axis, but a stimulator of brain horror nonetheless. 'This is a masterpiece', it wouldn't be sticking my neck out to exclaim.
Also, new Blut Aus Nord. Now, it is already quite clear that this is a knee-weakeningly gorgeous, breathtakingly majestic and dauntingly expansive piece of melodic black metal, sure to melt the hearts of the Memoria Vetusta crowd. That said, I am one of those who worships at the altar of The Work Which Transforms God, I even have moments when I believe MORT to be their finest moment. Therefore, especially in light of Urfe, I am a little disappinted in the lack of a challenge. I want my Blut Aus Nord to be alienating, harrowing and mind-bendingly difficult (in a fun way), and to be operating at the very edge of reason and sanity at all times. This is now two records in a row that haven't done that. MV II is... likeable?
