Not exactly a horror, I suppose, but Sphere (1998) resembles Event Horizon pretty much in the topic of manifestations of what The Axis therapists call "physical illucinations". This is one of those good '90-ies sci-fi, which is worth the watch if you haven't seen it yet. Enough said, it is just a harmless. and entertaining session, compared to the damned spaceship we all are familiar with.

1408 I found to be decent movie about evil "genius loci" or in other words a room, in which nobody survived more than an hour without going mad or dying a gruesome death. As usually, in circumstances like theses a protagonist is put on trial, during which truly discovers himself, while unearthing his mistakes and guilt. And then a chance to redeem oneself is given without the alternative choice. Usually the ending defines if it's a horror movie or not. This one actually is. It's not very scary if you are used to things like this, but it might appear surprisingly pleasant watching session if you give it a go. At least I had one.

Where the Dead Go to Die has to be on of the most disturbing, morbid and surreal bad trips in a movie form, I've seen in a long time. In fact, such abominations emerge not so often. Imagine Silent Hill (the most horrific fleshy stuff), Enter the Void, a little bit of David Lynch weirdness and visions from Event Horizon crammed into one movie, you will have one. It's a CG movie and some quality restrictions prevents it to fully blow your mind into realms of "WTF", however the content makes up for it pretty well. As I said, this is extremely disturbing, and thus a proper treatment for every real patient of this ward. You have been warned. Where the Dead Go to Die (2012) Full movie
