A new Gruntsplatter? Dammit, I've barely gotten the cellophane off "The Eulogist's Assembly" as it is. It's very much what Pulse Fear were trying to do, done much better.
I went to see Lou Rhodes (singer of Lamb) doing her solo acoustic thing last night, it was fantastic, as is her new album. I'm not sure if anyone else on here would get much out of it, mind...

The Eulogist's Assembly is the 2nd best of their works, I still like 'TAL' the best. Of course, this is my personal opinion.
I have my first 'Inade' album- The Crackling of the Anonymous' and it's bloody great! I need advice though, is there a better one? Also, track 5 ('Lord, Make me an instrument of your wrath') on the new MZ.412 album does it for me. The rest of the album ain't too hot though in my opinion. This track may still be on the CMI Myspace page for free, it was a month ago.

"The Crackling of the Anonymous" is the most multilayered work to date. There is actually new one called "Samadhi State". Haven't heard it yet except few tracks so I can't really tell how it sounds as the whole. Try out "Aldebaran". This is work thanks to which Inade became a recognized and notable act. Crushing cosmic ambients. You can actually try out "Burning Flesh" their earlier album too. Also there is a four CD compilation "Colliding Dimensions". Briliant thing.

Recently I mostly go through Silents Hill and Silent Hill 2 environmental soundscapes. Elend's latest 2 albums are fascinating. Emotional yet dark and at times very tense and even frightening though they have nothing to do with horrors of any type. Some Emperor and some Meshuggah also offers never boring trips.

Well Emperor CDs always stay close to the CD player, of course. Enslaved too.
Just ordered 'The Amenta- Occasus'.

Bestia Centauri's "The Self Immolation Rite" gonna spin more often. I encourage once more everyone here to try this entity of otherworldly soudscapes. A great accompaniment while reading Lovecraft's stories by the way...

Megaptera, The Protagonist and Des Esseintes are something that have raptured my attention recently. They offer everything from beauty to harshness. I even was lucky enough to see them live this saturday along with many other acts like Desiderii Marginis, Visions, etc.... It was absolutely tremendous expierience. Oh and the latest MZ.412 "Infernal Affairs" is killer. Very mature and very sophisticated.

Lustmord- The Place where the Black Stars hang. Now, I wasn't that keen on 'Heresy' and didn't see his appeal before but this is soooo good! Spacial, black and very atmospheric. One of the best dark ambient releases I have heard. Also got Spektr- Et Fugit Enterea Fugit...'. Excellent!! Not as good as 'Near Death Experience' by them which is my joint 'album of the year' so far with Blacklodge- Solarkult. Near Death Experience, Axis fans may be interested to hear, is the most scary, axis-like BM/ambient album I've heard yet though obviously not as good as the genuine article. Get it!!! It also has a creepy video track with all the ambient parts but viewing after listening to the album proper is recommended.

Today's spins; Megaptera "Beyond The Massive Darkness", Nordvargr "Awaken", Gruntsplatter "Chronicling The Famine".
Goddamn, death industrial kicks the living -I made you waffles- out of black metal. I -so- need to find myself a decent job to fuel my insatiable need to dive head first into the dark ambient world. Still not got the new Gruntsplatter, or any other of the five gazillion quality albums in the field that I've been after...
Of course, I've also been listening a lot to...something else...

You, sir.....you're very wrong. You should know better than to bring THAT up. New Gruntsplatter is ace, get it when you can, or I can copy it if you want.

I don't suppose anyone has heard the new Blut aus Nord album have they? Mort be its name. I can't afford it until November so just wondered if it's as good as TWWTG and the MCD.

Recently hooked on Twin Peaks, Mullholland Drive and Zoetrope soundtrack by Lustmord (anyone saw that short movie?). Blut Aus Nord's "Work wich Transforms God" after a year or more of wait finally got shelter in my collection.
