We have nearly finished tracking the guitar parts for Grief of the Unclean Could this perhaps be an admission to the classification of the horror to come? Or have my eyes been under too much gauze to have not noticed such an admission beforehand? Nonetheless, it is good to see that the treatment proceeds... and that creature.... its..... its.... horrifically... mesmerizing.

Brooke...ya know after 'Deleted Scenes' you sold one of the guitars used on the album (or did I just make that up?!)...well how about the cats...how much you want for them? Is that Mr Greebo's original box?

Mr Greebo says..."you could not afford me pitiful human, now scratch behind my ears and shower me with praise lest I leave a 'present' in your bed"

oooooooook.........
how much would you accept for one of those 'presents'? Right now I have some mucus filled tissues and precisely one airwave chewing gum...would that cover it?
Anyway...this seems to be going off the original topic so I'd best bring it full circle....er.....woo....new albums...and such, you filth.
Sorry...in the course of writing this post, the airwave has been devoured.

I can't believe you criticize the sound on Deleted Scenes. It has the most wrong tones i've ever heard!
May i ask what software you use to record and what program(s) you used to do the drums with?

Ah, but by its wrongness it saturated a load of spare frequencies which could've been used for even more layers of filthy noise. Now that we don't have that restriction we can really cut loose... The drums up to "Deleted Scenes..." were programmed in Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 as midi; the drum sounds themselves were creative labs soundfonts recorded manually to .wav format. These were then manipulated in a way digitally equivalent to hitting the audiotape with a hammer covered in raw sausage while screaming in sheer retarded bewilderment.

What would the raw sausage add to the sound pliz? Has Dan screamed dementedly whilst drumming for the next release, or was that an effect of The Axis?

Yes This weekend we worked on more illbient/noise stuff as well as the first vocals. Some folks have comented about hoping for a return to the ichneumon style and away from that on deleted scenes, if this is you prepare for disapointment! Laters Brooke

The Ichneumon Method has a 'special place' but the progression has been thoroughly, gruesomely gratifying thus far. Who is it to say where the Axis heads except The Axis...? What you come up with will better anyone else's ideas for you. I prefer the intrigue of this direction/ story arc too.

Some disire similarities to "Ichneumon..." Or how about some touches and resemblanses to "Physical Illucinations..."? In anyway no dissapointment shall manifest I'm sure. You must be predictable to be able to dissapoint your listeners

this week more of the acted spoken word parts where performed. Les has fully thrown himself into the world of the Axis and unfortunaely for him has been unable to leave, suffice to say that it has taken him ...*places* more than one section of the readings had me and myklon chewing our fists in discomfort so as not to have the mic pick up our gagging...
This album sounds like no other axis work todate I dont really want to say too much more at this point, also the release date has been put back to round early october as there is no way we will get this finished i time for a spring release.
