The year of the Pig. That pretty much explains everything Ved Buens Ende splited up again. TAOP delays their new opus filth. What next?

Oh well, so be it! This project clearly has grown into a monster. A thoroughly unpleasant one at that!

"Grief..." is just taking longer than we thought because it's become a more ambitious project than we anticipated, so consequently needs more meticulous attention to detail than ever. The only way to get it in for our original deadline would've been to do a half-arsed job, and obviously, that ain't happening on our watch. Also, Pulsefear's "Perichoresis" is going to be out May sometime and at least this way the album release dates won't clash.
Oh, and it's nothing to do with Les's shooting commitments or Dan drumming for My Dying Bride; that's just them being jammy gits. JAMMY GITS.

Crikey...well done Dan! Please give them a nudge into playing some UK dates again soon! Particularly Bradford/Leeds/West Yorkshire area...being the idiot that I am I've missed them everytime since I've been into them. I'd ask Hamish myself as he goes to my local sometimes but I've heard he's not a happy bunny about fans pestering him haha.
Hope it all goes well for you and looking forward to seeing you all live/hearing your work on the next album whenever that may be.

The records are always processed at two "studios" namely Starfade and Alchemillia. I am not sure but I'll try to guess. Starfade=Brooke and Alchmilia=Mike. Or vice versa?

Vice versa. The "Starfade" name is effectively defunct as the recording space and the equipment it contained are both gone.

Will there be more record session photos? I'm pretty convinced that as further it goes the things are getting hotter in your "studio".

The only more recent photo we've got is my laptop and monitors and stuff set up in my folks' conservatory on a lovely sunny day. Brilliant way of working. I hope the neighbours weren't too alarmed...

Progress is being made. "Grief..." has really come into its own space in the Axis, and frankly even we're appalled. It's also considerably distinct from everything that's come before. For anyone hoping for a return to earlier styles, tissues are readily available in most supermarkets and chemists, in a variety of colours.
The revised release date is still on the cards, and the work is speeding up accordingly; CD1 of "Grief..." is close to being locked. We'll hopefully be able to lock CD2 by the end of June, and then we can spend July mixing and making sure everything is...just so. Then onto August and the horror of the "Tenements...". The party never stops 'round these parts...
Oh, and Pulsefear's release date is June 19th. According to Profound Lore it will be "specially priced"; I'll leave you to mull over just what the price is going to be.

Well...a 'special' price for an equally 'special' release, seems appropriate.
A question, I'm not sure I understand the process of recording for the 2 albums, are you, sir, implying there are 2 CDs worth of horrific audio for just 'Grief...'? I can only shudder to imagine this. No return to earlier form is a good thing, I only tend to use '...Ichneumon...' for airoplane listening now as it's loud enough to be audible above the engine noise and it also gives me that notion of 'perhaps the plane won't get as far as landing'. The Ichneumon Method - Official Mile High album of 2006/07.
Great news update Brooke, looking forward with trepidation.

Hence it taking longer than originally anticipated. It might sound like we're overstretching ourselves, but bear in mind that Deleted Scenes is already three years old from our point of view, and since updating all our equipment we're able to work whenever/wherever inspiration strikes. Which is more frequent than I'd like...

Happy loves for the Axis and their recordings of joy. I can't wait!
But I suppose I must merely imagine what subtle details you'll choose to erase from my sepia-tinted mind next...
