Well, it'd certainly give me incentive to pick up my guitar. Don't think I've touched it for about 4 months! When I realised I was quite shit, I gave up hope of becoming a rock god. I can do a half decent 'The Loss and Curse of Reverence' though.

Yeah, it'd be great to see some tabs and actually figure out some of the chord progressions. Keep it coming, Mike!

This forum s reeking with silence. I find it offensive when birthday is commemorated as it is a someones funeral. Come on patients, it is an anniversary! The Axis is 10! Give your present and best wishes to our beloved abomination;)

Today is the Axis's birthday? I suddenly feel strange and awkward sharing a birthday with it...

Not necessarily today, but this year in general, or so the mighty Metal Archives say, though the "Corridors" demo was out in the beginning of 2002.

Ah, good, that's a relief. I have enough eerie coincidences happen to me as it is.

It's a bit of a tricky one to nail down satisfactorily.
Officially, the Axis acquired its name at the end of January 2002, immediately after the "Corridors" demo had been finished. The songs from "Corridors", bar a few bits which were written during the recording process, mostly date from November and December 2001. However, the earliest versions of the songs that became "Nightmare Suspension" and "My Time, My Reign, My Tyranny" were created almost exactly ten years ago, though at the time we thought they were going to be Minethorn songs.
So there are now Axis riffs that are ten years old (give or take a week or so from today I think), but the Axis as an entity isn't...

So it was really a good timing for us to come and celebrate on that exact weekend:D Almost accidentally. Anyway, since the Axis name's birthday originally was 2002, are you considering to mark it in some way?

I have felt particularly ill since I found out the Axis is 10 this/ next year (I think Brooke said January?). This should not have been allowed for all our sakes! Unhappy Birthday-ish regardless!
