Ahh, these are pretty good writings indeed! Much better than some of the stuff that passes for "horror" nowadays, as Darkcrawl said... Although not as direct an insight into The Axis' history as I liked... they were still extremely interesting, thanks for the link Darcrawl!

No problem! I don't know if the band would have wanted the link published but I figured that it would have come out in the dark sooner or later.

"Daddy Long Legs" is a relevant piece for current Axis. I've got the full thing here but I'm going to give it a tidy up before doing anything with it.
It's worth noting that some of the earlier stuff is referenced in certain "Ichneumon" songs.

So is DLL going to be released in full anytime?

I have the full thing on my computer, from when I asked them about their horror stories a few years ago.
If the Axis will permit me to spread the filth, then I'll be glad to do so. But not until they inform me that its ok to do so.

I think the first part is on the Interweb. I've linked to the stories somewhere in this or another thread.

Yes thanks I went on there and got everything I could, but the full version of DLL isn't there, just the first part. But thanks for the link, very useful.

Would you believe I haven't even looked at it since I announced the intention to re-edit it back in September or whenever? I'll have another look and might just post the full thing up as is, as if I spent my time reworking things I did in the past that I wasn't happy with I'd never get anything new done.

Fun fact: originally, the accompaniment to "Forms..." was a spoken word section from "Daddy Long Legs pt.1", the sequence where the main character looks out of her office window and sees a figure among the bins. Obviously, it didn't quite work, but it was a forerunner for "One Day You Will Understand Why", which is the closest we've gotten on record to saying clearly what The Axis is all about.

...as well as being one of my favourite The Axis tracks as I drunkenly rambled elsewhere on this very forum.

This is actually a great idea. That track would make a great background for these forum halls in general while roaming here.

Also how about things like, Tabs, lyrics, music recording/playing techniques, equipment set up ect would patients be interested in haveing a section of the hospital dedicated to this sort of thing? It would indeed be a really cool thing to get some more information about that. I would like to know a lot more about equipment and recording techniques, especially after reading bits and pieces about mics falling apart and "original" subsitutes for a micstand. I'm very serious though when I say that it would be really interesting to cover such topics.

There are limited tabs in existance that the band use as teaching aids so to speak for rehearsing, just so we dont have to work stuff out by ear every time, we may get round to posting these...eventualy or force Webslave to do it.
As for the technique/equipment section then that will probobly wait unitll we do another album and we will keep a recording diary ect
