Ok, my curiosity is sufficiently piqued on this "Ghosts on Magnetic Tape" thing. What lucky filth organ wants to do a CDR trade?

Email sent. May go off and listen to it now actually, make a nice change from the recent pounding I've subjecting myself to.

Hahaha!! You couldn't resist could you? I guess Hemasphee will have offered already (in which case make sure he copies you both disks, ie- the Andrew Lyles reconstruction too) but if not, I am happy, no, make that grimly depressed, to make you CD copies of both disks. Why ai.

Aye, it's pretty good. More minimal than I expected. I tend to go for my ambience layered and oppressive with lots of little details. All three Atrium Carceri albums are rocking my world at the moment, in the sense of grasping it on either side and shaking it 'til it's just not funny anymore.

I'll have to try one out. I'm always after new stuff I haven't heard before to listen to. As an aside, didn't John Peel once play a track from '...Ichneumon...'? I'm sure I saw it a couple of years ago on his tracklistings.

I received Atrium Carceri's 'Cellblock' today and I'm listening to it now. Really into to it at the moment, conjures up quite vivid pictures, all very nasty, of course. Some bits remind me of Mental Siege (the odd repeating frequencies) and the samples are used very effectively. Thanks for bringing them to my attention!

Each Atrium Carceri CD is progressively better than the last, "Cellblock" is greater but they only improved from thereon in.
Oh, and John Peel played "A Ruined Nation Awakens" and "Forms On The Other Side of Silence" over two consecutive shows, as I recall.

What a guy. I had just got into his radio show (mainly to satisfy my fondness of wierd electronica) and then he shuffled off this mortal coil. Shame really.

Cheers for the Atrium Carceri and Maeror Tri CDs. Both are great albums, especially the Maeror Tri - very dark, very cool. The Atrium is scary, but feels a little disjointed in places, but still very good. Cheers Dom

One question sticked to my head about recording of this album. What way guitars were recorded? Using mic or line-in? Hearing feedback one can guess it was done with mic but I am not really sure. I might not know many things about recording

Is Ghosts On Magnetic Tape on CD? Or is it only vinyl? I know Andrew Liles' Reconstruction is on CD, but I can't find any information of the actual album on CD.

A little while later I found what label it was on, and ordered the CD, it set me back 27 bucks, the Canadian dollar is worthless, thanks for answering though. I wish the music store here would hurry the hell up, I ordered Deleted Scenes From The Transition Hospital in early April, and it still hasn't shown up at the store, luckily, you don't have to pay until it shows up, but I really want the album.
