I wasn't available on Wednesday night, but I actually work in Birmingham town centre apparently a five minute walk from that venue. So, at lunchtime (about 2pm) I decided to potter across on the off-chance that you'd all arrived super early and I could somehow get in for quick hello and a brief exchange of pleasantries.
"A three minute walk from Snow Hill Station" runs the claim on the website. I am notoriously hopeless at finding my around, and sure enough I got nowhere near the venue, I honestly don't know where it was that I ended up, and then it started to rain and I had for some reason opted not to take my excellent umbrella with me. My suit got wet, I didn't bump into The Wodensthrones, and I still don't know where the Asylum is.
Probably not a story really worth sharing, but there it is. I hope the tour is going well anyway.

Damn it, I'm unavoidably working today and won't get there on time. Damn and blast!

The tour went brilliantly, for the most part. Sorry you couldn't make it, St. Mark; we only trundled up to the venue around half four/five unfortunately. We did, however, have the inestimable pleasure of being joined by Greg of the mighty Esoteric on the last song at that show, which was pretty awesome. Mark, the London show was the one show of the tour when everything technical that could go wrong did go wrong, from both amps failing within seconds of each other during one song, strings breaking, bits falling off the drum kit, all sorts. Still seemed to go down OK though.

Or were you talking about the Bristol show? If so, I think it's going to be fully Youtubed soon as the promoter filmed it.

I would have gone to the London show. It's strange how when it rains, it poors...but then I did see the Axis that time...

We did, however, have the inestimable pleasure of being joined by Greg of the mighty Esoteric on the last song at that show, which was pretty awesome. Aww. I bought my first Esoteric record at the end of last year - Paragon of Dissonance - and it is sublime. I'm sure I'll dip into their back catalogue for more treats in the future. That must have been a pretty cool finale.
