just to recap and consolidate from the website and that 'other' place. The album is nearly finished, some tweaks to the mix mastering then the music side is done,. The front cover was finished this week and is truly horrible in the right ways, for the first time ever cover duties where outsourced to a talented chap in Finland, it was well worth the risk. Im doing the internal art and type setting myself and thats coming along fine. Futher details and cover art will be revealed soon. update 12may2010 the new album will be called Unclean Rituals the cover is online at www.hesperpayne.com along with release date ect. audio samples coming soooooon update 14may 2010 a new album track is now online for streaming at www.myspace.com/hesperpayne enjoy!

Although, it may be the most commercial thing any of us have done whilst staying within the broad remit of metal, I can garunteeee that it will crush your bollocks into biscuit dust.

You mean commercial in what sense? Maybe this time due to this some major label will grab you at last who knows...

'Commercial' in Metal means 'you can understand the words' or 'uses keyboards'. I suspect both may be involved, which makes Hesper dirty EMI-licking sell out scum, obviously.
Can't wait to hear it!

in all seriousness I actually quite like the early Sonata Arctica albums and the last couple of Nightwish. Both, however, unlikely to be active influences anytime soon.
In some actual album news, there should be an update next week and maybe even an audio sample or two.

I have no idea what it says about me or my tastes, but almost all the music i really like has keyboards and words i can understand (or no lyrics at all). On the other hand, none that i can think of are gothic, symphonic, or have operatic vocals. I likes the name of the album a lot. Interesting cover also (the little white things with 3 eyes are super cute!).

AH HAH!
You beat me to it but I actually meant to say that if there were a stuffed animal of them I would buy it they are soooo cute. BUT ONLY IF POO IS INCLUDED! I have warped taste in stuffed animals and dolls so there must be some kind of market for them.
