So I see Code 666 are releasing a compilation albumfeaturing both Minethorn and The Axis of Perdition. Is it the original 'Chained in the Damnation Asylum' that's escaped howling from the vaults or a re-recording? Also, re: Minethorn- was this from the same session as Junk Hive Noir or a recently released track?

its a rerecording or 'chained' i forget when from, its got new lyrics as well though still about the same subject.
the minethorn track is also a rerecording of a song on the original demo from 2003, we have however just started demoing some new material.

Neat. An intriguing fact that this is going to be a sort of conceptual compilation as Emi says so i guess worth to purchase not only because of few beloved bands but because of general idea.

I am a massive fan of both Davide Tiso/Ephel Duath* and Diabolicum**, and the opportunity to hear anything spawned by our esteemed hosts is of course always an exciting one, so this is effectively an automatic purchase. I bought the first Code 666 compilation on release too.
*Irrelevant, but one of my favourite concert memories is seeing Ephel Duath in a teeny tiny venue on their Painters Pallette tour. Great album, great night, and I'm so pleased I got to see those songs performed with the clean vocals of David Tolomei present.
**Diabolicum really need to drop another full length - The Grandeur of Hell is a trvvvekvvvvltclassick.

Does anyone tried to order it yet? Is it just me (i'm pretty sure i'm not) who receives the same message every time when trying to order this specific release. It says: We are experiencing some technical issues and our technicians are working diligently to fix 'em. Thanks for your patience and understanding. And so nearly a week like this.

Nope, I ordered it yesterday or the day before without any problems. Contact Fausto at Aural Music and ask him to sort it out if it doesn't work again.

Just received this, great work on both tracks chaps! Mr Tiso should be praised for his link-up passages as well. All in all, an outstanding compilation!

Got it yesterday. I never was fascinated by any compilation but truly this one can be listened as regular album. Seriously. Songs are well fused and seemed together even though the nature of this release is very eclectic. Neat. Mine[thorns]'s re-recorded "Icons" is totally awesome. It does remind me of Brooke's other project called Irradiant how strange it may sound while TAOP is like a freakish Emperor version to my ears. Yeah, changes in the lyrics are noticeable. Interesting how they look now. I'm glad that this old gem of yours found a proper place to be realised. Without exaggeration both tracks are utterly enjoyable and unsurprisingly are among highlights for me. Interesting notice. Davide Tiso's gaps are between every track except for between Diabolicum and Void of Silence. I guess it was done intentionally...

It does remind me of Brooke's other project called Irradiant how strange it may sound im starting to think every thing i do will eventually sound the same.. anyway stop teasing me, i dont have my copy yet ...like a modern day ZZ Top. Everything will have the same riff eventually. You could even do a cover of 'Pearl Necklace' in homage. The MineThorn track was indeed excellent as was the Axis. I really don't think there was a track I disliked on the compilation which is unusual (and a sign of the quality on offer). I also just received 'The Wine of Satan, vol 2' compilation which is also ace (I've been after a copy of <Code>'s 'Pollen of Black Plume' for ages!). I'm thinking the campaign for making compilation albums shit again should start here, it's costing too much money!
