There's an official release of this in the works that'll be announced in the near future. It's been in the offing for months now, it's just been delayed by my own inefficiency and preoccupation with other stuff. I'm slowly putting together new material too, but other things are my priority for the time being.

I assume, that most dezinens have already checked a new track on the site. If not, go and get some very very pleasant treatment. "The Snow Fell By Lamplight" is very beautiful and ethereal track. I got mesmerized. Can't wait to hear more stuff.

Aye, I uploaded that the other week, I was planning on mentioning it on here once I had some news about a release date for "Night Haunts". Back in January when we had epic snowfall in the north east I went out at 4am and made field recordings in the snow walking up and down, dripping icicles, snow falling off trees up and down the street I lived on at the time, which has railway tracks down one side. "The Snow Fell By Lamplight" is the result - winter worship, but in the heart of the city rather than the heart of the woods/top of the mountain/insert generic BM imagery here.

I've got a new album recorded, based around the atmosphere of autumn/winter, particularly in Middlesbrough, and the sense of home and belonging. I've mixed it all down and now I'm ignoring it for a few weeks so I can come back with fresh ears and tweak the mix at a later date. Still got to get "Night Haunts" out though so one thing at a time!

Oooh, good news. I'll go to listen to the new track after this Gustaf Hildebrand album has finished. Looking forward to any CD release for this project!

Edit: There are no tracks loading for me. Have they been taken down or is my computer messing me about?

Ophiel's still about, it's probably my slowest-gestating project. The physical release of "Night Haunts" is still on the cards once we resolve some delays. I may upload it to Bandcamp anyway in the meantime as I have some bonus material for the physical version.
