Hi, just wanted to know where some of the other samples off Ichneumon are from so please forgive my ignorance....the only three i can pick out are from Matrix, Event Horizon and i think Star Wars? Yes I know I'm dumb and un-educated, but that is why I'm here.

I think I recognize one from a Twilight Zone episode in "Born Under the Knife, Live in Pain."

The band said that the story from 'Forms on the Other Side of Silence' is a Stephen King Cthulhu mythos tale. I believe it's an edit of the full story which they must have a copy of on tape. I've read the story, and it's actually very good. It's found in the S. King compilation book 'Nightmares and Dreamscapes'. I think there are clues to some of the samples in the 'thank yous' list at the back of the 'Ichneumon' booklet.

No "Twilight Zone", no "Star Wars". The others are correct, though. There's bits of the King story in other parts of the album as well as "Forms...", generally if you can't identify something from the sources already known, it's likely to be from that. Oh, and the "Ia, Cthulhu Fhtagn..." in "My Time..." is from "Dagon".

I could have sworn there was Luke Skywalker saying "I have a really bad feeling about this" somewhere, although it escapes me at this time where on the album (I thought!) it was. I was watching A New Hope the other day, and just when the Millenium Falcon first see's the Death Star, Luke says that and I immediately thought "holy shit....that's on Ichneumon method".
See Axis......your music really does mess with peoples heads.

The closest I can think of to that is "I'm getting some really strange readings in here" at the end of "A Ruined Nation Awakens", from "Event Horizon".

Well yea I got that bit, but my synapses fooled me into thinking our lord and saviour Luke was also in there somewhere.

Heheh...I think a quote from The Emperor in Star Wars may have fit better but after watching 'Aliens' one night, when Newt (annoying as a character, I know) says "They come at night....mostly..." or something along those lines, I thought 'that wouldn't sound out of place on ...Ichneumon...'

Mr Myklon, just wondering where the 'Daddy...help me....Daddy...where are you?' sample is from at the beginning of 'Born under the knife..'. I've probably got the source somewhere but it doesn't seem familiar.

Incidentally, that line also sounds a lot like a line I remember hearing in an old Twilight Zone. Just a coincidence (or my poor memory), I guess.

I would be interested to know were the sample from the middle of "Disturbance..."originaly comes from? Female voice saying she will show some wonderful things to someone and then comes the sound like severing flesh accomponied by that someone's scream .

I believe that is from Event Horizon, though the quote itself is a nod to Hellraiser. Dr Weir gouging out his eyes would be the noise and screaming I presume.
