Work has commenced on the new cd, title as per above. it will be finished by the end of the month. 4 tracks over roughly 35 mins, once again recorded mixed and mastered by ourselves with the art by me!
it will once again be available in very limited amounts priced as low as we can to cover manufacture and postage costs as well as being available for free download from the myspace page and on that subject ive updated the layout on the myspace page so go have a look cos its well tasty.
Also we are now based in newcastle so if any one knows any decent drummers round here give us a shout as we are wanting to get gigging again.

More recording photos online now at the myspace, we have just today recorded the bass parts. Tyranor in answer to your comment its sounding even heavier than before but with a much cleaner, more powerfull sound. The guitar im using is a barritone which has the same tunning as a 7 string, the barritone actually holds the tunning much better than the 7 string and has better pickups. It sounds pretty damn crushing
As for the material, i dont want to give tomuch away, lets just say its a bit more...technical and perhaps epic.

there is now a video of weeun recording his bass parts on our myspace page and some more on our youtube page ( search for minethorn) In addition drum programing has now been completed, my least favourite part out of the way HURRAH!

Tracking of the guitars is now complete, some videos of me recording some leads will be online shortly you get some more sneakpeaks of the new material and get to experience the squeeky horror of my RP7 pedal. next comes keys and samples.

Recording of the keyboards and samples is now finished, some of the stuff that came out surprised even me. It obviously the same band that recorded the dreamer cd but there has been a large progression, im not sure doom is really the right way to describe this anymore.

took a break from the recording to go on holiday to the lake district, it was awesome. some more tweaking of the drums and keys has taken place but mainly I have been doing art and workign on the last of the lyrics. I am recording vocals this saturday with the help of Chris from the excellent band That Hideous Strength

Well its finally done and available for free download via our myspace page including some art as well. 3 tracks over 36 mins, the first 2 tracks can be streamed from the flash player. please feel free to download and share under the usual rules, ie dont take credit or sell it.
its taken so long as i was unhappy with how the april sessions sounded so left it for a while and came back to it fresh, ended upr re recording everything except the drums and bass and i think its much better for it. a limited print cd will be available first quater next year but we are still working out the details of that one, it will probobly be bundled with the Dreamer EP and a couple of extra tracks we have that have never been released on a cd before, 70+ Mins of DOOM with extended art priced as low as we can get away with. Enjoy!
