Finnish Industrialised Metal band The Republic of Desire have finished work on their debut album, entitled “REALpolitik”. The album was recorded and produced by the band at Machinerie 28 Studio. Mixing was taken care of at Astia Studio by Anssi Kippo (Children of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene) and mastering next door at Sonichouse TM with Teemu Myyrylainen.
“The recording was quite a hard process, even to our standards,” says frontman Kalle Lindberg of the recording of the album. “Almost everything except the drums and synths were recorded at least twice and I must say that it was some hard work to make the record from some production demos to a finished album in just a month and a half while I was working in a construction site.”
When asked about the band’s motivation to create the music that they do, Kalle had this to say: “we went in a noisier and more distorted direction with the synthetic material compared to the kvber E.P. The reason for that was the fact that we got really fed up with the current EBM/ "popular industrial"-stuff, with all the future pop and trance influenced shit. Well, originally we got really frustrated with industrial metal ('cos it sucked back then and still does for the most part); as a result to that we started incorporating synthetic stuff to our music, to do it right.”
Artwork for the album is being created by Finnish artist Timo Honkanen of Battlelore infamy. A late 2006/early 2007 release is expected. In the meantime an audio sample can be found here:

British prophet of the mechanised apocalypse XENOLITH is continuing relentlessly with work upon its as-yet-untitled debut album. We were unable to penetrate Xenolith’s bunker complex/studio for further interrogation; however, the few snatches of noise we did manage to pick up on have left us with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and an irrational fear of engines.
Expect the insurrection early 2007…you have been warned.

Halo of the Sun, the solo project of Kult of Eihort vocalist/guitarist Ein are putting the finishing touches to their debut E.P. Ghosts, which describes a lone survivor’s journey through a deserted city that has suffered some unknown apocalypse. Once completed, Ein will begin work on a full-length album for HotS for release sometime in 2007.

The previously announced split E.P.’s between Halo of the Sun/Hesper Payne and Vortex Syndrome/Xenolith have been delayed. Several of the bands involved felt their contributions could be improved either through re-recording, re-writing or re-mixing and we at Ammonite would rather have a release be late than artistically inferior for the sake of scheduling.
As reported in a prior release Ammonite Industries is now distributed world wide through Aural music and we will be shortly announcing details of our online legal download distributor.
