I think Dan's drumming is a revelation on this album. Very complex and....well...different. I really like the mirky sound as well, as if you're in the middle of a dirty great factory being overwhelmed by the surroundings.

thanks! we rather than learn what i had programmed on the demos we jammed on the riffs individually to find patterns. he then did odd things like 'invert' the patterns mid riff ect.

Got it yesterday and had few spins already. Fantastic release. Very enjoyable. I like how songs transit into each other and thus making album like really whole entity. Production seems muddy a bit (in a good sense) but organic and atmospheric at the same time. If the fact that guitar i bought from Brooke was used on this album is true then i can see another reason why i love that babe so much. Good job lads! This is actually hell of an album (saying it without exaggeration). Let's wait for a some raving reviews out there.

I picked Junk Hive up a little later than youse lot and certainly deserve a slap on the wrist for my tardiness.
Anyway, I've been listening to it pretty intently for just over a week now and, inevitably, I'm loving it. The suffocating maelstrom thing is a lot of fun, but then these moments when a really cool riff or a particular drum tattoo rises above the claustrophobia and steals my attention are also fantastic - especially with such a dense sound. Tracks two and five seem to be my favourites at this point, but it is still early doors for me and there is a lot of music to take in.
