People say "Bioshock" is good. Has anyone played it yet? From what I saw this one might be is quite worth the time.

Yesterday I was wandering what projects Team Silent are developing currently and found game called Siren. This has to be some kind of hybrid fusing Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill or Resident Evil according to gameplay. Stealth survival horror. Has anyone tried it?

Siren is a great game, but for persistent players only. It's really hard in some sections, and some people say that the game is very scary too.
PS: Sorry for my english, it's a little rusty...

You're English is not rusty enough ;D
I found out that another great game will be out just on helloween. It's name is Dead Space. This is sort of mix from Aliens, The Thing, Prey and maybe a bit of Event Horizon. Looks disturbing and brutal.

Dead Space looks great!
If you have a decent PC (and I mean decent; it could even be run on crap but it gets better as you go up in power) then I highly suggest Condemned: Criminal Origins. FEAR was pretty scary, and STALKER had its moments, but Condemned takes it to a whole new level. One part made me jump out of my seat and not want to continue playing. ;o; But there aren't very many "boo" moments, which is what FEAR had a lot of.

Yeah, Condemned looks good and is quite original (investigation, expertise of crime scene and stuff) but I only saw the game play. Didn't try myself yet. Another significant games are Fatal Frame (seen the Shutter movie?) and Rule of Rose (has nice retro feeling).

I watched Dead Space trailer and gameplay... Wow, looks like a great mix of Resident Evil 4 and Gears Of War, with some new elements added to the gameplay. There's an old PC game called "D", I read something about it 10 years ago and I still want to put my hands on it, seems to be a good game. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_(video_game)

I couldn't forgot to remember of the most difficult game I ever played. It's called Martian Gothic: Unification, a survival horror on Mars. The enemies don't die, the weapons are weak (and there's not much ammo for them), you have to control 3 character at the same time, and you can't let any of them die during the whole game. The game have many bugs and errors. For diehard and unemployed players only... Some footage here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf66to9I7_k

Condemned 2 is obviously a choice pick as well... when the world starts melting and the oil demons randomly come at you or the rabid bear is bursting through the walls of the cabin... and never look into a mirror at an abandoned crack house lol

Got through the first Siren sometime ago (of course not without the help). Definitely one of the harder games i've played but i had a great time. It is not just scary. It is also disturbing and i'd dare to say at times some atmospheric moments are as compelling as Silent Hill. There has to be the most haunting siren sound i've ever heard. Cool. The game deals with supernatural as well and that's another good thing though it is not related to protagonist's (there are hell lots of them) psychological and emotional world. I don't like zombie themed games and movies very much but this is entirely different affair. I wouldn't consider shibitos to be zombies anyway. They are something much more when the player most of the time is a desperate and weaponless victim. Siren has logical sequence of the story but very nonlinear game flow which is quite confusing but as the game goes further the things start to make a lot more sense. Oh, and they have really awesome abandoned hospital there...

Very soon should appear a game called "Alan Wake". Similar to Silent Hill so I thought you might be interested. Approximately 4 years later it looks like it was actually released. It doesnt look very good to me (walk with flashlight through woods, point flashlight at supposedly scary things, walk with light some more, repeat, repeat) but I haven't played it so who knows. At least they finally got it out i guess. People say "Bioshock" is good. Has anyone played it yet? From what I saw this one might be is quite worth the time. I loves Bioshock. Thought it was super creepy in its own way and looked cool. Haven't played much of Bioshock 2, but it seems to be more of the same so far (except the big sister keeps scaring the **** out of me) but quite fun. EDIT: I almost forgot - They are also making a Bioshock movie, so i am getting ready to be totally disappointed by that. I think its by the guy who made '28 days later' for good or bad. I saw a game that i thought had a good look called 'Metro 2033' about living in the subway and fighting mutants and such after a nuclear war so I was going to look into that one, but I haven't played it.

Been replaying System Shock 2 this week, highly recommended. It can be a bit of a pain to get running on newer rigs but it's worth the effort if you like atmospheric RPG/FPS hybrids. (Plus it has the best batshit crazy AI ever, Shodan.)

I haven't bought a video game since "The Suffering: Ties that Bind" was released, so I really am in no position to comment on the quality of the game but I wouldn't be so quick to write it off based on a few promotional clips. Clips like that are much better at showcasing the quality of the graphics and some aspects of the gameplay than they are at showing the depth of the story behind the game.

(Plus it has the best batshit crazy AI ever, Shodan.) I've been having to look up too much stuff lately because i don't know half of what is being posted. It turns out that Bioshock is considered a poor reproduction of SS2. I dont know about that, but i do know that i still loves bioshock and it is hard enough for me to get through that so if SS2 is better/harder i would probably miss out on it. Bioshock is still one of the coolest games i ever played. On a totally unrelated note, why are there so few posts in general lately? ?? Everyone working hard on Tenements??? Yes Yes? ?
