yep Unfortunately so, other non negotiable work and study commitments for various members have interfeared and we dont want play as a half lineup or with session member, plus other logistical concerns as well, though I must stress non down to the festival or organisers, needless to say that we are bummed and it was not an easy choice. In addition by the time of the festival we will be in the middle of ....somthing else....so maybe its best if the creative flow not be too disrupted.

Well, sad as I am that you're not going to be playing, I'm glad to hear "personal reasons" didn't turn out to be anything bad for any of you guys.
Also, that "something else" (hur hur) is no doubt going to be worth it...

'Fraid so. Dan's recent illness meant that he wouldn't have been able to recover sufficiently in time to fulfil Axis's gruelling and unforgiving drum regimen.
However, Minethorn will be opening the gig and I'm going down to yell inappropriate things at them while they're onstage, so everyone from TAOP will technically be around, just not playing...

I was really dissapointed you pulled out, but there was nothing you could do so how about you just play next year's instead?  Anyone else interested? You two could always come along and not play - show your support etc. Hey, Jeff Walker was on the guestlist last year...  Also Mistress, Akercocke, The Haunted and Skindred have completed the line-up. So its still going to be an amazing day, and i'll be there in my The Axis of Perdition t-shirt.  |

Hope it all goes well, its shaped up to be a right day it has, we are pretty much bummed out about not playing and now the scheduling of...somthing else... has pretty much ruled out even attending as a punter  If your going to be wearing an Axia shirt (or rather letting it wear you ) then its your solomn duty to tell as many people as possible that your finger is mostly clean....... |
