excellent stuff, will be looking out for the final release. one minor gripe though, dont do the one track sampler thing with parts from various songs segued together, its well annoying, i want to hear a couple of full tracks at least!.

Yeah, I realise its not the greatest way to go about it, but I guess its a rough insight to the entire album...I might throw another track or two up later.

Will keep posted on release dates.

Yeah, I hate it when bands do that, like....we did...with both "Urfe" and (initially) "Deleted Scenes", come to think of it. Hmm. In other news, Pot VS Kettle: Yo black!

Regarding the samples, I really like them. They have that slow shoegaze sort of style to them. Thumbs up from me (I've never been in a band so I don't know how much of a compliment that is).

I didn't want to be the one to mention it! ;D I think it's different though with an album like 'Urfe' as there are no clear 'songs' as such, it needs to be listened to as a whole making the posting of individual tracks very difficult.

well done that looks fantastic, i like it when bands actually put the effort into the presentation and those full tracks are excellent, ive emailed you and enquiry. Perhaps you should put up some sample postage prices to the UK and EU?

Looking at around $6.50AUD for postage to the UK/EU for all who are interested.

Have had a lot going on in the past couple of months, including a really successful live show in April. Was absolutely amazing. There a few photos up on the Myspace page, and some more to come.

But anyway, here's a bit of an update that's been posted around the place. I'm sure the corridor dwellers and infected minds alike could share exposure on a manifest of (un)foreseen events...

Spire has a lot happening right now, so we decided to divulge.

- We have finished the artwork and re-mastered an exclusive, unheard 'demo' song for the 12" vinyl release of the Spire Ep. This should be released in the next few months and will most likely have a very limited edition picture LP version, alongside a standard black vinyl release. More details will be disgorged back as we consume them.

- We have extensive work completed on our next release - a second EP. The details of this recording are to remain veiled for now, but we can say that it is different from our first release whilst retaining an essential Spire aesthetic. Those who attended our live show had a taste of the new material. Release details for this EP will be posted closer to their actualization. Most likely there will be a simultaneous CD/LP release, with special limited versions of both.

- Additionally, we have concepts, sounds and music developing for our first full length release. This is some time off as it will require monumental amounts of writing, refining and mastering before it voids in to the ears of prospective listeners.

- We also have several splits with different audio Gods planned. These splits will most likely be limited vinyl affairs. More details on these in the (unforeseen?) future.

- On top of all of this we have a potential cassette (for the old school out there) of the first Spire Ep. Once again, we’re still conspiring details regarding this.

- On the live front there is little to report. We may play one more show this year, but this remains to be seen. The energy channeled into playing a live show was quite taxing for us and must essentially remain exclusive for Spire to perform to our fullest potential. We do have plans for a show or two next year, but no details are certain as of yet.

- We have an official distribution deal with the mighty Aussies - Obsidian Records. The first Ep is still available, through OR www.obsidianrecords.com/. Additionally there are still Spire shirts available. The sale of CDs and shirts is of course much appreciated as it will help to hasten the process of preparing new material (If only the Gods that be would deliver down a bounty of worthy music that is costless to create!).

Please make this happen one day! I'm sure there are plenty of labels out there willing to do it.
