Nice interview, with some expected and unexpected content. How are things going with Tenements? It will be really interesting to see where the story goes!

Slowly, that's how! While work on Tenements has been ongoing for some time, we've had a lot of false starts developing our musical direction this time round, and I'm determined that for this album there will be no element of rushing, unlike "Urfe" and "Deleted Scenes", especially since all the rushing for "Urfe" still didn't stop the delays. Things are starting to become a lot clearer now and Dan's visiting this weekend, so we'll be talking Tenements and sharing ideas, demos etc. It's going to take as long as it takes though, and as usual, we're planning ambitiously and to avoid repeating ourselves. There will, however, be a couple of important announcements soon.

Sounds good. I'm amazed that 'Urfe' was rushed in the slightest! It sounds like it was a true labour of unlove. Mike, are you going to brave the journey to London for the Ulver gig? I know you rate them very highly.

The composition wasn't rushed, by any means, or the actual recording, but some parts of the mixing and mastering process were hammered through quickly in order to try and meet the deadline that we needed - and but for the damning vagaries of the postal service, that we actually met - for a Spring '08 release. If we'd known it'd take another year than that to actually come out then, we would've been more careful.
I'd love to see Ulver, but I'm dole scum so I can't afford the trip to London sadly, and I hear it's long since sold out already. Ho hum.

I believe this has to be the most recent one and covers whole TAOP history. Once again, I think it is safe to state that interviews by Axis guys is among the most interesting one can get from a band. Hohlraum - The Axis of Perdition interview 2012

I found an Axis interview from early 2002, just after the demo was released, on an old CDr the other day. I laughed a lot then vowed never to make it available ever!

I can perfectly understand and relate to that. While some things cannot be conveyed through words, word themselves are the most explicit thing possible.

I sorely tempted to 'report to mod' this but I fear it will not help. Go on, Mike, it's all good unclean fun. Were there any outragious TR00 comments made? ;D

For legal reasons, which I unfortunately don't have time to go into right now, the aforementioned tr00 kvlt interview actually needs to be posted in this thread by the end of February. I would love to show you the precedents but they are Class 3 and require ANA clearance. My hands are tied on this one. I look forward to your cooperation.
