“Axis is glyph. Logos of abomination. Neither life nor death, between the many ciphers of absence…” Urfe is a broken man, just one despairing voice among the multitude of lost souls in the doomed nowhere town of Locus Eyrie. Coerced into a quest for answers by an anonymous letter, Urfe is drawn into a waking nightmare where the shadows of his past shape a reality that is rapidly disintegrating around him. Hounded ever further into his self-made hell by the wretched denizens of the dark, and tempted ever onward by the enigmatic Pylon, Urfe discovers that salvation and healing come at a cost so desperate that neither can be trusted for what they seem. The Nightmare begins again November 7th 2008.... “And God said, Fiat Lux! And there was Light upon the Earth…” LISTEN TO A TEASER FOR THE NEW ALBUM AT: www.myspace.com/theaxisofperdition

I was so afraid of this moment because my expectations for the new album are just too high. But DAMN! I'm already in love with it.

Whoa! I didn't know what to expect so delved into teaser with open heart and mind. It's been a long time since I waited for anything with such curiousity. Yeah it sounds like Axis only more atmospheric and vast than ealier. And sinister of course. Liked a lot what I heard.

Even from this small sample, I must say this is going to be album of the year.

Wow! This sounds great. Looking forward to the release. The artwork looks unspeakably horrid too!

I wish I could preorder! It sounds sooo good, Axis, I just hope it isn't all talking for the whole CD. I'm such a fan of Where The World Becomes Flesh, I just fall in love with all that distortion.

I think that actually gave me an erection. Not speaking metaphorically, of course.
This is fantastic. The song had such incredible depth, not to mention the contrasts between melancholy, horror and helix confusion. Brilliant.

Sounded like it, anyway.

Yep. Kind of hard to try and squeeze a general impression of a 90+ minute album into six minutes, but I think it works ok.

I've succumbed to quite the anticipation. I was hoping for more actual music in the teaser than spoken word...It's probably for my own good though, it's never very fulfilling to spoil an album before it's released.

I personally get most spooked out by the very first bit where 'it's all gone wrong'. Quite a fitting line really on so many levels!

The more I listen to this teaser the more I realize why this waiting causes so much suffering *sigh*.
